I have had a few grey hairs trying to assert themselves over the last few years, but the recruitment program went full force after the fire and they are taking over my head. But I’m ok with this. In fact, I made a pretty big decision last week in regards to this new color: I’m keeping it. I’m not going to dye my hair, I’m going to embrace it. Well, I’m not all that gung-ho about going grey already, but I can’t seem to justify dying all the time, and honestly, I’m a little lazy and not a big fan of all the chemicals. So, between tattoos and greys, I’m marking my road…All the things I’ve been through, and some of the lessons I’ve learned (for instance, houses are indeed flammable and peoples kids are that despicable to set them ablaze). Maybe it will turn into one of those cool skunk streaks. Or maybe it will take over and I’ll have a full head of white hair in a few years. If Vogue editors can do it, so can I. And dammit, I’m ready.
